K E N T

Reset and Retreat is a luxury 'offline' retreats provider bringing you the very best in creative and collaborative human experiences. Unlike many wellness retreats we focus on both relaxation and pursuits. Our business is all about re-establishing our relationship with technology - we're not luddites but we see that excessive digitisation of every aspect of our lives in a constant FOMO (fear of missing out) society is just not healthy.

By attending our retreats you will have immersed yourself in the offline life via live art, stand-up comedy, creative writing, yoga and meditative walks which are all coordinated by experts in their respective fields - sounds like a lot? Well you'll be surprised how much longer the day feels without a device! You will feel like meal times are longer, and when you see a beautifully prepared dish you'll savour with your senses not your phone's camera. You will sleep like a baby in luxurious beds and rooms free of dings, beeps and buzzes. You will have time to think, actual time - uninterrupted by a stream of information heading your way. You will also have plenty of free time to relax, mingle, read in the library, take in the atmosphere or just zen. You will most importantly - be in the present.

Reset and Retreat - it's in the name.

Reset and Retreat is proud to present its first retreat at The Edelle - A Victorian arts and crafts style country house with William Morris wallpapers and mature garden with ha-ha. Attention to detail and charming Olde English are abundant from the moment you set foot inside.

Situated within 700 acres of lush green the main house sits in its own grounds with sweeping views across the High Weald towards Ashdown Forest. Recently opened having been a private family home since the 1840s, the main house is found at the end of a private drive lined with oak trees and laurel hedges. The garden has been developed over recent times under the guidance and supervision of Christopher Masson, a pupil of Lanning Roper who designed the gardens at the Highgrove.

The house has a study, a library, a games room, stunning rooms and views as well as characterful lounges and reception rooms perfect for partaking in one of the activities on offer. Many heritage castles, inns and attractions are within comfortable walking distances. The remarkable thing about this property is its distance from London - 45minutes on the train to Cowden, and then a five-minute walk down the station path and into the main grounds.

Travel

From the M25, take exit 6 and simply follow the signs to Hever Castle. This will take you through Edenbridge. Continue on the B2026 until the Cowden crossroads take a left if coming from the South (right if the North) for Cowden station, up the hill for 500m and on the left, is a driveway opposite the farm. TN8 5PB.

N.B. If your sat nav takes you the middle of Cow Lane - a country lane then please head to the non-pub end of Cow Lane and take a right at the junction there and then a right up into the driveway!)

The closes airport is London Gatwick with taxis available.

Regular trains are operated by Southern Rail to and from London Bridge and London Victoria stations. The venue is approximately a 5-minute walk from the rail station.
